Community Involvement

The Sea Otter Classic Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2012 by the Sea Otter Classic, the largest cycling festival, consumer bike expo, race schedule and “celebration of cycling” in North America. Our mission is to engage the community in sporting events like the Sea Otter Classic and to celebrate cycling and the healthy lifestyle that riding your bike supports. The Sea Otter Classic Foundation also sponsors school assemblies that demonstrate bike safety, teach riding skills, and promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

The Sea Otter Classic Foundation solicits volunteer help from local organizations.

We make a donation to each organization as our way of saying “Thank you!” for the kind help. In addition, each participating volunteer receives a 4-Day Festival Pass and an official Sea Otter Classic t-shirt.  Volunteers are also provided lunch on the day they work.

With much gratitude for your service, the Life Time Sea Otter Classic is honored to provide the following benefits to recovering veterans with disabilities and retired veterans, as well as to active duty personnel, first responders and their families.

• • Recovering Veterans. Complimentary festival passes and athlete registrations are available for all veterans recovering from service-connected injuries. In addition, festival passes and complimentary athlete registrations are available for the support staff of any organization supporting recovering veterans. Families are included.
  • Retired Veterans. A 20% discount on festival passes and athlete registration is available for those who retired from the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard. Families are included.
  • Active Duty Personnel. A 20% discount on festival passes and athlete registration is available for active duty military personnel ; a military ID card must be presented when picking up the passes. Families are included.
  • First Responders. A 20% discount on festival passes and athlete registration is available for first responders and their families.

The above special rates for athlete registration apply only to festival passes and all categories of racing and rides. Before registering, obtain an exclusive registration code by emailing info@seaotterclassic.com
